BBC2 Peak oil / climate change thriller
Did anyone see (or even better, did anyone record) last week's 2-part drama 'Burn Up' by Simon Beaufoy, writer of the Full Monty? There's a great article by Simon from the Mail on Sunday about his journey through horror and shock about what an educated oil man told him would be a 'global crash....somewhere between 2008 and 2010'. Comment by mac jordan on July 30, 2008 at 11:23am - We watched it last night - an interesting plot, but appallingly executed, we thought. The main character was far too nice to be a global head of any conglomerate, never mind an oil company.
